The AusCycling National Insurance Program covers AusCycling and all members, ‘free trial’ members, volunteer accredited coaches, race directors, accredited officials, directors, executives and volunteers of AusCycling.
This insurance cover applies when members and other insured persons/entities are involved in activities that are sanctioned by AusCycling. These activities include races, organised training (including individual training), recreational riding 24/7, meetings, fundraising activities, voluntary trail building and social rides and travel to and from these activities.
Generally, the following expenses are not covered under the personal accident policy:
Doctor’s fees
Anaesthetist’s fees
Surgeon’s fees
X-rays
The medical benefits schedule (MBS) lists all treatments and associated rebates relating to Medicare.
You can access the MBS at any time by Medicare’s website. Items commonly used by sports participants that are Medicare listed can include general practitioners, surgeons and an anaesthetists.

Non-Medicare expenses which are incurred within 12 months of the bodily injury are able to be claimed. In cases where there is no Medicare component to the Ambulance expense, this expense incurred within the scope of cover is able to be reimbursed at 85% up to $7,500 per claim.
