To have Marsh arrange your Pilates insurance, you must be:
Qualified through an Australian registered training organisation
Qualified from Studio Pilates or accredited by Fitness Australia.
You must also have written risk management procedures for the below:
First aid
Blood spillage and infectious disease
Inspection of equipment
Emergency procedures in event of serious injury
Training pregnant clients.
Some excluded activities are:
Overseas Yoga retreats
Nutrition advice without relevant qualifications
Reiki treatments
Counselling
Bikram Yoga and Hot Yoga (over 35 degrees celsius)
Aerial and Anti-Gravity Yoga
Home studios.
You can have up to three subcontractors, but they should all have their own insurance.
